How does Invisalign work

Step 1
We can create your FREE Smile Visualisation using our state-of-the-art Itero 3D imaging scanner. This procedure is completely non-invasive, pain-free and takes just a few minutes.
You will be able to see the results of your scan within just a few minutes.
Your appointment will be with our dental nurse Jasmine, who will be able to answer any questions you have regarding treatment.
If you are happy with the results, you can then decide whether to proceed with treatment.
The next stage would be to procced to 'Clincheck' where a digital treatment plan is provided by Invisalign. The cost of this is £90 (charged by Invisalign) and payable upon proceeding and deducted from the total cost of your treatment if you proceed.

Step 2
One of our dentists will carry out a thorough clinical examination to re-check your suitability for treatment and if necessary, recommend any pre-treatment work (for example, we may recommend that you visit the Hygienist for a thorough clean of your mouth before starting your teeth straightening).
Invisalign’s clear plastic aligners are then custom-made to the shape of your teeth and sit over your teeth like thin sports mouthguards.
They will then be shipped to the Practice and an appointment will be arranged for you to collect them and begin the treatment process.

Step 3
You will be provided with a series of Invisalign clear aligners to fit approximately every week. You will be able to do this at home but we will arrange regular appointments during the course of treatment to check all is progressing as planned.
You’ll need to change your aligner as your teeth start moving into their desired position. The aligners are removable, so you can take them out for eating, brushing and flossing, keeping up your oral hygiene routine for the health of your teeth.
